Green architecture
Absolutely, people have recognized the importance of sustainable living. One can see this on a general basis with the simple implementation towards environment-friendly habits such as replacing plastic with sustainable materials such as bamboo, jute & paper. And on a larger scale there is a shift towards green energy generation technologies and initiatives.
It is now more important than ever to adopt practices that support long-term sustainability. The idea is also being adopted and practiced by many in the real estate sector. Green real estate approaches can solve a wide range of national challenges, including energy and water conservation. As a result we at Raiaskaran are taking steps right at the design stage to ensure all our developments are giving the most they can to nature, whilst impacting it the least.
We firmly believe green architecture can impact not only the future but even the present life that we are living.
While green building architecture necessitates a larger initial capital outlay, it also provides long-term health and financial benefits to all stakeholders involved. Justifying this sometimes can be difficult but with the right focus we can make a lot of required changes.
People today are aware of efficient resources that can contribute significantly to long-term development. Architects and developers have recognised this and plan for it in advance for example, there is a preference for bricks that are made from sustainable materials and practises as opposed to standard red bricks. Other steps like recycling of garbage generated during building construction, refurbishment, and destruction could be another environmentally friendly technique in this sector. While we do our maximum to reduce waste, but preventing it is nearly impossible. This is a never-ending process and we should continue to look at environmentally friendly approaches that could be applied in residential development. Real Estate plans to make a difference in the field of green architecture by adopting architecture based on “environmentally focused” homes.
Therefore while Green architecture is the current buzzword – much yet remains to be done – the role of the government is also actively engaged in developing sustainable development, and real estate should lend a hand by employing green building techniques. Under the NITI Aayog, India has also set Sustainable Development Goals, with the most recent score for 2020-2021 being 66, up from 57 in 2018-2019.
Green real estate helps the industry become more environmentally responsible while also increasing its profitability in the long run. Sustainability is reshaping the industry, making it more desirable to millennials. Everyone gains when construction and real estate go green, and this mutual growth is pushing transformation in the industry. As inhabitants of a developing country, we must put these ideas into practice to reap the health and environmental benefits they provide.
