Cleaning and operational manager

We’re looking for a highly motivated and results driven Operations Manager with proven success within the cleaning industry to join our high performing commercial cleaning division. Reporting to the NSW Commercial Operations Manager and overseeing a diverse portfolio in a commercial environment you will be part of a fast-paced team where you will need to be available across morning and afternoon shifts. The challenges and rapidly changing environment will require you to adapt, respond and apply sound soft skills and effectively manage your time to achieve success within the role. Your strengths will be: communication, coordination, engagement, compliance and service delivery. You will value and mentor your team and foster a culture where everyone works for each other’s success. 

As the Operations Manager – Commercial, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Managing the service delivery and performance of daily operations across a portfolio of commercial sites across the greater Sydney region
  • Build and maintain strong and lasting client relationships
  • Driving adherence to performance standards across the portfolio in accordance with SOP’s, policies and service expectations.
  • Driving role clarity and service expectations amongst the team.
  • Ensure all team members are effectively inducted, trained, skilled and supported to do the job, including managing underperformers.
  • Ensure rosters are prepared to modern award and budgetary requirements.
  • Ensure all financial budgets and targets are achieved within identified timeframes.
  • Implementing initiatives to drive a high performing and safe work environment.
  • Provide regular reporting and operational analytics.

To be considered for this role, it’s expected that you have:

  • A valid driving license.
  • Proven experience working in a high safety environment where compliance is a necessity.
  • Demonstrated experience of successfully managing commercial cleaning operations across multiple types of properties.
  • The ability to use various software based business systems.
  • Working knowledge of the Cleaning Services Award highly regarded however, not essential.
  • Very high attention to detail, time management and strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to motivate your team and empower them to deliver the highest standards
